Context

Professional kitchens face constant pressure to deliver consistently high-quality food while maintaining speed, efficiency, and operational reliability. Traditional high-temperature broilers require continuous operator attention, manual handling, and precise timing throughout the cooking process, making consistent results difficult to achieve.

Challenge

Existing cooking systems rely heavily on operator experience. Chefs must manually monitor the cooking process, flip the product at the correct moment, transfer it to a resting area, and determine the ideal serving time.

These manual operations increase workload, introduce inconsistencies, and result in unnecessary temperature loss during handling, ultimately affecting product quality and kitchen efficiency.

3-Intelligent High-Temperature Cooking System

Solution

We designed and developed an intelligent high-temperature cooking system that automates the complete cooking workflow while maintaining full control for the operator.

The system combines a high-temperature grilling chamber with a temperature-controlled resting chamber connected by an automated vertical transport mechanism. Once the initial grilling phase is complete, the cooking platform automatically transfers the product into the resting zone without requiring manual handling.

An intuitive touchscreen interface allows users to select the product type and desired doneness, while integrated sensors continuously monitor the cooking process. Intelligent notifications guide the operator through turning and serving, ensuring repeatable results with significantly reduced manual intervention.

Result

The project resulted in a fully integrated product that combines mechanical engineering, automation, software development, and intelligent process control into a single professional cooking solution.

The innovative cooking concept has been protected through registered intellectual property in Germany, providing a strong foundation for future commercial deployment in the professional food service industry.
